About NIL Insight

My name is Brian DiNapoli, and I’m a lifelong sports fan from Atlanta with a passion for helping student-athletes succeed both on and off the field.

I created NIL Insight to serve as a trusted resource for high school and college student-athletes, parents, coaches, and educators as they navigate the ever-changing world of college athletics, including Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities.

Success as a student-athlete requires much more than athletic ability. My goal is to provide practical resources and expert insights on topics including NIL, mental health and wellness, financial literacy, leadership, player safety, academic success, digital wellness, gambling awareness, substance use prevention, career development, and life after sports.

Through educational resources, podcast interviews, and connections to trusted organizations, I hope to empower student-athletes to make informed decisions, build strong character, and reach their full potential, both during their playing careers and long after the game is over.

Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL)

Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) allows student-athletes to earn compensation by using their personal brand through endorsements, sponsorships, social media, appearances, camps, autograph signings, and other business opportunities.

Since 2021, NIL has created new opportunities for college student-athletes to benefit from their name, image, and likeness while remaining eligible to compete, subject to NCAA, conference, state, and school rules.

While NIL offers exciting opportunities, it also comes with important responsibilities. Student-athletes should understand contracts, financial literacy, taxes, branding, and eligibility requirements before entering into any agreement.

At NIL Insight, our goal is to provide trusted resources and practical information to help student-athletes, parents, coaches, and schools better understand the NIL landscape and make informed decisions.
